Cryptozoic Announces Release of CryptkinsTM Vinyl Figures and
Launch of CryptkinsTM Channel on Quidd

Original IP Featuring Characters from Folklore and Legend Debuts with Both Physical and Digital Collectibles

Lake Forest, CA – February 12, 2018 – Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games, trading cards, and collectibles, today announced the March 15 release of CryptkinsTM vinyl figures and the immediate launch of the CryptkinsTM Channel on Quidd, the fast-growing platform for digital goods on iOS and Android. CryptkinsTM are Cryptozoic’s first original series of vinyl figures and are inspired by various creatures that have been the subject of folklore and tabloid headlines for decades. The CryptkinsTM Channel on Quidd will feature static and animated trading cards, stickers, and 3D figures based on both the initial 2.25-inch vinyl figures and future releases.

“With CryptkinsTM, we have an original IP that we’re really excited about, so we have planned a unique launch of both digital and physical collectibles,” said John Sepenuk, CEO of Cryptozoic. “Through the CryptkinsTM Channel on Quidd, people can explore the world of CryptkinsTM and discover these characters’ colorful personalities. And then, beginning in March, they will be able to collect their favorite characters as vinyl figures. CryptkinsTM are highly collectible in any form and we’re excited to see fans try to get them all!”

CryptkinsTM vinyl figures are each approximately 2.25-inches tall and include legendary creatures like Nessie, Chupacabra, Cthulhu, Bigfoot, Jersey Devil, and Yeti. There are 13 figures in all, with 2 of them being rare and 1 of them ultra-rare. Sculpted by Sam Greenwell, each figure comes packaged in a collectible, blind-reveal miniature crate.

The CryptkinsTM Channel on Quidd will feature several digital card sets: “Fun in the Sun,” showing diurnal CryptkinsTM; “Bump in the Night,” highlighting nocturnal characters; “Habitat Cards,” depicting the environments in which the different creatures are found; and “Which CryptkinsTM?,” a quiz-based set using the character silhouettes to test how well users know their CryptkinsTM. In addition, the animated card set “CryptkinTMCrates” shows the creatures breaking out of their crates.

Finally, the CryptkinsTM Channel includes three sets of 3D figures: “Folklore Box,” “Legends Box,” and “Mythical Box.” The digital figures can be rotated and viewed from multiple angles, as well as being shared with friends via social media.

CryptkinsTM vinyl figures will be available at retailers nationwide March 15 for a suggested retail price of $5.99 each. The CryptkinsTM Channel is live now on Quidd—free to download on the App Store and Google Play—and is being updated with new content all the time.

In addition, on February 16, Cryptozoic will launch a presale for Midnight Chupacabra, a limited WonderCon-exclusive variant of one of the CryptkinsTM figures. Anyone who participates in the presale will be able to pick up the figure at WonderCon Anaheim, March 23-25. Details can be found on the Cryptozoic website.
